|Description:||The Director of National Sales will be responsible for hiring, on-boarding, coaching and leading the sales organization to achieve the sales goals of the company while adhering to its mission, vision and core values. This person is also responsible for modifying the organizational structure, compensation plans, sales process and training content as needed to maximize the sales team productivity and achieve the company goals. |
Responsible for the performance and continual development of the sales team.
Conducts one-on-one reviews with all sales team employees to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for their performance improvement.
Ensures that all employees meet or exceed all sales activity goals and that information is properly captured in the sales management system.
Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
Conducts regular training, coaching and counseling with sales team to build motivation and selling skills.
Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding sales activity, performance, and forecasts.
Develops and executes a sales plan and strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Reviews and approves all exceptions to standard pricing or other business terms.
Interviews, tests, and hires sales team employees based on agreed upon criteria.
Creates and implements written on-boarding plans to ensure employees are fully productive in the shortest time possible.

Bachelors degree and 15 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years as a manager level or above in the software sales industry. A combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Sales and sales management experience in the healthcare software industry is desired
Ability to manage a sales team of local and remote employees
A proven track record of building/managing scalable sales forecasting, budgeting, & incentives sales plans & tools
Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
Ability to motivate and inspire
Excellent communication skills
Ability to filter directives
Ability to accurately assess sales skills during the hiring process
Ability to coach salespeople to improved performance or coach out if required
Ability to assess individual skills and position employees where they can be most successful and provide the maximum contribution to the company
Possess front-line supervisory skills - know how and when to step in to discipline or change behaviors in an employee
Possess wisdom about when to support subordinates versus when to discipline them
